Serving : 10-12 Momos
Ingredients :
For Momos Wrapper :
- 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
- 1 Teaspoon Oil
- Salt to Taste
For Stuffing :
- 1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Green Peppers (Capsicum) and Cabbage
- 1/2 Cup Boiled Vegetables*
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Tomato Ketchup
- 1 Teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
- Red Chilli Flakes To Taste
- Black Pepper Powder To Taste
- Oregano To Taste
- Salt To Taste
*Boiled vegetables includes Chopped French Beans, Broccoli and Babycorns.
Method :
For the Momo Wrapper :
- Sieve the flour and add oil and salt to itĀ in a bowl.
- Add warm water gradually and knead the dough to a soft dough.
- Keep aside for 30 minutes, covered with a damp muslin cloth.
- Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions.
- Roll out each portion into around 75 mm (3 inches) diameter circle to make a momo wrapper.
- Keep aside, covered with a damp muslin cloth.
For Stuffing :
- Heat oil in a pan and saute all the vegetables on high flame for 2 minutes.
- Add Salt, Pepper, Chilli Flakes, Oregano, Soy Sauce and Tomato Ketchup and mix well.
- Remove from the flame and keep it aside.
Preparation :
- Place a Momos wrapper on a flat dry surface and put 1 Teaspoon of the stuffing in the centre.
- Fold all the edges towards the centre to give it a shape of a dumpling.
- Repeat with the remaining momo wrappers and stuffing to makeĀ more momos.
- Arrange the momos in a steamer plate and steam for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot.
